For the first time, Maison Balzac’s iconic J’ai Soif carafe has been reimagined with a natural raffia cover, handwoven by TANORA artisans in Madagascar. This limited-edition collaboration brings together the refinement of glassware with the warmth and tactility of raffia craft.

The raffia “outfit” is designed to be removable, allowing you to dress and undress the carafe as you please. Its open weave reveals the liquid within, creating a playful dance of light and texture at the table.

Easy Care: Remove raffia before washing. All Maison Balzac glassware is dishwasher safe. Raffia is naturally water-resistant - Wash gently by hand using mild detergent, rinse well, and air dry thoroughly. For light marks, simply spot clean with a damp cloth.

Handwoven from 100% natural raffia by skilled artisans. Each piece carries subtle variations in tone and texture, reflecting the beauty of natural fibres and traditional craftsmanship.

To care for your raffia piece:

  • Use mild, natural detergents only - avoid harsh chemicals or cleaners.
  • Spot clean small marks with a damp cloth.
  • For greasy stains, soak in warm soapy water and gently rub with a soft sponge.
  • Always air dry completely before storing or using.
  • Store away from direct sunlight and humidity
  • Avoid contact with oils and cosmetics
  • Maintain shape by storing with light padding when not in use
